Wedding Things

Hey all!

Hope you have been well, I am loving school holidays and have made the first week my 'break week' and I enjoyed it throughly but this week is back to the books and I have planned my week, which actually brought me a lot of joy. Might I just add these passed couple weeks I have been consuming a lot of Lipton black tea (decaffeinated ) and it is so good, nothing fancy about it and I think thats why I like it, its great to have any time of the day! Try it if you like. What tea do you enjoy drinking ?

Now onto the blog post!

Wedding Things

CEREMONY

On Saturday I attended a beautiful wedding, a South African marrying a Ghanaian. Weddings are great, of course they are hectic but its also lovely to witness two people coming together as one and also making a life long commitment is was great to be part of such a milestone in somebody's life.

As you can tell from the pictures Autumn has been very kind to us and we have a lot of sun (Praise the Lord). I wanted to wear something that was comfortable while looking classy and comfortable. Not having attended that many weddings in my life time, I'm always lost as to what I should wear.

I found his dress amongst my winter clothing?!? (ahah) But I'm glad I went looking. This is dress is a great day dress and I added the blazer to add a level of sophistication. Adding a black clutch that hold my wedding essentials and the black gold rimmed Ray Bans were a must as it was a sunny day, plus they give this outfit a touch of Sego.

RECEPTION

The reception called for a change in outfit, and I was appointed as an usher so I was required to wear orange.  I've owned this dress for two years and I this was my first time wearing it out, I like it but theres just always been something stopping me from wearing it, but it felt really great wearing it out.

I wanted to obviously stick to the dress code but I wanted to throw a bit of Sego into there right! So you know I had to throw on my cheetah print blazer and of course take it back to my roots and wear a traditional head piece. The reception was so good! I haven't had a good night like that in a very long time and it was so nice to be around South Africans! Made me want to go home even more! All in all I had a great time, so glad I went.
