Temporary Relocation, Now I'm stationed in the Sverige.

Hey all!

I am in SWEDEN! Not sure where to begin but, last year I applied to go on an exchange trip to Sweden and on the 7th of November I left for the country I had been obsessing over for I don't know how long. I'm going to be in Sweden for two months, attending school and living life like an ordinary Swedish teenager.

I flew from Sydney to Singapore then to London and finally to Gothenburg Sweden. Unfortunately I can't say that my whole flying experience was fab as I had a fever and from Sydney to Singapore I couldnt sleep I was hot then cold. Thankfully after that the rest of my trip was grand!

This is one of the few red house I pass on my way to school, 50 years ago majority of the houses were red.

I've been in Sweden for three weeks now and I love it here. My first week I started school and the commute to school is approximately an hour and a half and as long as that may sound the scenery is breath taking. It changes daily due to the variation in the amount of sunlight you get to see certain areas of the land light up, it makes my bus ride that little bit more interesting. When its not cloudy the sun lights up . The landscape which was once showered over with a dull grey hue, lights up revealing beauty beyond words.

How amazing is this picture I must say when i was looking through the picture later that night my heart stopped for a split second and I saw a glimpse of heaven. Do not be fooled by this picture as it was freezing outside, If I remember correctly it was 2 degrees Celsius.

This is one of the amazing views taken from my school, the buildings are just shops. But behind them is Lake Vättern which is the second largest lake in Sweden.

This is my view on my way home but this was the first time I'd seen it, as the sun usually starts to set at three thirty. In this picture it was about ten passed four, so you can imagine my shocked expression on my way home .The Lake is the exact same one that was show in the previous picture.

Meeting Martin!

Hey!

Hope you are all enjoying spring! So sorry for not posting, I've been busy with exams, school and spring cleaning. I have some exciting things happening this month, so be sure to hope on to Massy's World to find out more! Now on to the post

After two, which felt like four weeks of exams, my last set of  exams for the year before I start my final year of schooling. My friend and I decided the best way to celebrate that being over is head to the city of course!

In pursuit of an open bank, mind you we searched the whole of Sydney! And to our surprise we came up with nothing but closed banks, to only make matters worse we had just been in Parramatta (where banks are open on weekends) and assumed that if a bank is open out west there is no chance it won't be open in the city.  Despite my slight annoyance I actually enjoyed the search, being more exposed to place in the city I never knew existed bringing me back to what I was originally saying.  We stumbled across Martin Square and it ended up the perfect location to take pictures!  Although the shops in that area aren't in my current tax bracket it was the architecture of the buildings and its surroundings that caught my eye. It was also the people in the area that gave off good vibes. The flower stall owner directing us the bank ( which was closed unfortunately) to the lovely lady that looked for open banks online for a solid ten minutes, oh and how can I forget the person who took the picture of my friend and I. It may not seem major but it's the little things and make like great right?  If the banks had been open I would have never met Martin so thanks to all the banks!

Whites Camera Action

Hey all! I hope you're all having a great week! I was lucky enough to attend the Deng&Mayom Fashion show on the 25th of July. For those who follow me on Instagram you would have seen a post from the show. The Fashion show was none like I'd been to before. It kicked off with some performances; two of my favourite being Neo Pitso, the Krumping group Military,Scroll down to see more of my outfit and some of my favourites from the Haute Couture and Ready to Wear  collection.

OUTFIT Blazer Zeitgeist  shirt: Tarocash  pants: ASOS shoes: Myer (Miss Shop) clutch: Zara

The fashion show dress code was all white. That excited me! When choosing what to wear I wanted to go for a clean minimalistic look while still looking chic and being warm. You may be able to see how this might have been challenging due to the weather, but I was up for the challenge thus leading to the creation of this outfit. I was originally going to wear a t-shirt, but I decided that a formal shirt tied at the waist. This simple change added a different dimension tying up a formal shirt added a slice of sohpistication that would have been lost with a just a T-shirt.  I'll admit that the all white was a great idea but I cheated a bit with my red Zara clutch but fashion is no fun without breaking a few rules right?

This midi skirt is my favourite piece from the Ready to wear collection. What does it for me is the synched in waist, the pleats and the vibrant colour! So basically the whole skirt is a great piece of art. Now that midi skirts are trending, I think that just makes it even more appealing to the eye. This is definately a piece that needs to be in my wardrobe for spring and summer!

The choice to pair a formal vest with a causal top is a risky move but I think the designers did well with this look. The high collar adds some character to the otherwise ordinary formal vest. This is my favourite of the mens collection.

The night concluded with the Haute Couture collection and this piece stood out to me the most. This is an expectional work of art. Although very exposed, it can we worn in different ways. They have taken what could have been a straight up and down dress and added character. The synched waist, flared bottom, and the flower-like pattern on the top half with a zig zag pattern for the bottom half just makes this a unique piece. D&M have a bright future ahead of them if they continue to produce pieces of a high quality and continue to add their own twist to everyday clothing and trends. They have the potential to be a driving force among Australian designers.

Thank you all for reading be sure to check out my YouTube channel Massy's World for another look at the outfit and so much more!

Until next time God bless and stay cool!

Feeling Like a Million Bucks!

Hey Y'all!

It has been very cold the past couple of months so this outfit not only keeps me warm but also makes me feel like a million bucks!  I wore this outfit when I went shopping in the city a couple of weeks ago. I was expecting it to rain so I decided to take my new boots out for a spin. Hope you enjoy the rest of this post!

Jacket: Target,  Jumper: Target, White tee: Target, Jeans: Zara Trafaluc, Boots: Shubar, Bag: Sportsgirl, Earrings: Gift        Sunglasses: Cotton On

What I love about this outfit is the mix of  casual and sophistication. Adding the boots and fur collared jacket adds a touch of  sophistication to an otherwise casual look. A pair of knee high boots or a 'fancy' jacket often results in an effortless looking outfit!

My Winter Essentials

Hey People of the World!

During May and June which honestly feel like months ago I have been using a few products that as we have come into winter I have realised I and my body love. I find that as the seasons change I need to treat my body and skin to different products as it seems the products don't mesh well with the changing elements. So I gathered products that I considered to be 'essential'  to my wellbeing, I hope you guys enjoy this post!

1. Orange

I love oranges no matter what the season oranges will always have a place in my stomach hahah. Growing up my parents always used to tell my brothers and I that oranges are really good when you have a cold so I've always associated oranges with a winter must eat since for as long as I can remember. I really recommend that y'all eat oranges as I was doing some research and found that my parents were infact right about oranges, they fight off infections so that is a bonus on top of the great taste!

2. Honey and lemon tea and Twinning Lemon and ginger tea

If you haven't had this you have not lived, it's not that it's amazing but when your sick and don't feel like eating anything or drinking anything having this feels like heaven to my throat. Honey and lemon and ginger are honestly the perfect match and during winter it really does help with making your throat feel better and your body too! The Honey and lemon are incase I run out of the Twinnings tea, both do an excellent job at making me feel better.

3. Jarrah Choc o'Lait

This stuff is BOMB! Never have I had chocolate milk that doesn't require sugar this has the perfect amount of sweetness! I recommend having this twice a week as it cam be a little much if you have it every day, I like forgetting its taste then when I have it feels like I'm having it for the first time again.

4. Cetaphil Gental Skin Cleanser

When winter comes around I find that my skin gets really dry! I usually use the  Cetaphil moisturiser but I have found that doesn't work so I have now started to using the Cetaphil Skin Cleanser in conjunction with the Cetaphil moisturiser and my skin feels great! The wind doesn't dry my skin out anymore and its looks vibrant and feels fabulous! I would really recommended this for my sisters and brothers out there with sensitive skin because I find that when I find a 'great' moisturiser it's only a matter of months before I start having an allergic reaction to it but Cetaphil has been good to me since day one! And I've been looking for the perfect moisturiser and body wash for a while so Cetaphil has the best results, its bomb guys!

5. Almond Spread

This stuff is so much better than peanut butter! But thats just my opinion I find that this is stuff is so good especially if you have it on a rice cracker with banana and strawberries! I am probably going to have this all year round its just that I discovered it in winter and I love how healthy and delicious and wanted to share it with y'all!

7. Fruit and Nut mix

This mix is fab as I just chuck it in my bag and when I get hungry at work or when I'm out I have something I can snack on that'll keep me going till I have lunch or dinner. I love that it comes in a cute little box and can fit in any of bags or a clutch and most importantly that its healthy!!!

8. Water

Water is good for you all year round! but in winter I feel like my skin begs me to drink more water as it gets really dry! Also Im not sure about you guys but water tastes really good, people always say that water doesn't have a taste but it does! If you don't think it does play a game of soccer and after the first half you will feel like the water you are drinking is what they have in heaven! I love my water y'all and y'all should too your skin will thank you for it!

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed the post and hopefully try out one of my winter essentials! Be sure to check out my YouTube channel Massy's World and my Instagram also at MassysWorld . Until next time stay cool and God bless!

Dash of Edge

Hey all!

I went shopping in the city this past saturday and might I say the city was buzzing! I didn't buy anything sadly but I do have my eye on a few items, now Im just waiting for the price to drop ahaha. It is currently school holidays here for three weeks, and I've got some more posts coming you're way!Anyway here is a picture of my outfit that I wore to the city and then at night had a party so I added that outfit too. Be sure to check out my winter lookbook on my Youtube channel at Massy's World. Hope y'all like it!

outfit dress: Myer  Vest: Myth Conception  Jumper: Target  Shoes: Spendless Shoes  bag: Colette  glasses : Cotton on

When I was thinking of an outfit to wear I wanted to wear a dress but due to the weather I thought I wouldn't be able to, but luckily stockings have been created haha! I was so happy that they look good with the dress. This outfit sort of has an edgy touch the black stockings the combat boots and the jumper tied around my waist, but that look as been softened by the white vest. At first I wasn't crazy about it but after some thought I think it's a perfect outfit for a day out in the city!

Part two: Saturday night

outfit vest: Glue turtleneck: ZARA leather skirt: Bardot  shoes: SHUBAR

Saturday night I had a party, and might I add I had not been to a party in a long time! I love this outfit so much, can we all for a minute just appreciate monochrome, it never fails to look good! I paired this outfit together and when I stepped back to look at it in the mirror,  I thought sporty Lux! I think it's the white pieces that give off the look and are given and edgy twist with the leather. All I can say is yay for monochrome looks!

Thats it for me today guys hope you are having a great day be sure to check out my Youtube channel Massy's World for a mini winter look book, which include these outfits too!

South African Youth Day

Hey Y'all

I attended the South African Youth day which remembers and celebrates the Soweto Uprising that took place on June 16th 1976. On this day students in Soweto marched against the apartheid government that sought to impose Afrikaans as a medium of instruction for all subjects.

The day began at  8am for me and my friends and family. We began our journey to the South African Embassy which is in Canberra. The car journey felt like it took ten years, but finally when we reached our destination the excitement kicked in!

The event was really casual, the High Commissioner spoke followed by some beautiful singing by Kymie be sure to check out her sound cloud page at Official Kymie. Then came one of the most empowering poems I've ever heard recited by Tahi. You can check out a snippet of this poem and a vlog of the event on my YouTube channel at Massy's World.

COATED

COATED

COATED by massy-moo featuring a zara coat

Hey Y'all

Its winter and I'm so excited! I absolutely love winter and I have been hunting for the perfect winter coat and have found my dream team of coats. I can't help but notice that people associate winter with dull coloured clothing and may I just say that winter for me is when fashion gets interesting, you are able to do some much more with your outfit, don't you think ? I consider these coats to be on my 'If your lucky I might buy you' list.

No.1 Is from Topshop and to be honest I'm not the biggest fan of Topshop, I just find to be so overwhelming going in there plus its always packed! But I found this bright treasure when driving past Topshop, and I knew from then on that coat needed to get in my life! The colour is perfect and I love that they have just the one black button on there.

No.2  I love the cut and the illusion being made by the two contrasting colours, this coat is almost just an essential item in any females wardrobe as you can throw it over anything and be guaranteed that it'll not only tie your outfit together but add to it too.

No.3 Is bold but Im not 100% loving it but then when I say that I feel like its such a great coat that I can't help but want it, also adds colour to an other wise dull day or outfit.

No.4  I love me some check! With the tartan trend coming in I thought it only appropriate to have a coat that acknowledges the trend I liked but never jumped on. I love the simplicity but also, it screams warm to me, not sure why I like it cause it's not usually something I'd picture myself in but my eyes are liking what they see.

No.5 Don't have much to say about this one but that its just a coat that compliments all outfits and also very simple which is good cause you don't what wear an outfit that says look at me and then a coat the yells look at me ahaha.

No.6 Lucky last one thing I love about this coat is its length. it has a daggy look to it gives off a 'I don't really care what you think' vibe and I just love how simple it is but still says look 'I look good'.

I think that I love simplicity and using simple items to make an extraordinary outfit that looks effortless. I have been loving Instagram at the moment because I have been loving the bloggers that have been rocking coats #feelinginspiredwhenidoubletap.
