Fashion Weekend 2015

Hey all!

I have two more assessments before trials and I am certain that I will not have another late night finishing off my assignment, pray for me y'all! Hope this past week has been fabulous for y'all and that you have taken some time to relax over the weekend and reenergise for this new good week.

Now onto the blog post

So on this day I had been invited to a Bloggers Brunch by a fellow Australian Blogger Suzanne Dang but due to Sydney's unpredictable traffic what was meant to be a 23 minute drive turned into a 45 minute drive. But lucky for me once I arrived Suzanne gave me a FREE ticket to Fashion Weekend?!? Where are they doing that #blessed.

When we arrived at Fashion Weekend which is held at the Royal Hall of Industries (near Fox Studios) I was gleaming with excitement, this was my first time attending Fashion Weekend. Suzanne and I attended a runway show which was amazing, being able to see what new designers are bringing on to the Australian fashion scene.  I was given an 'unofficial media pass' so I was right in front of the runway, where all the photographers are positioned, basically the best seat in the house.

The runway feature may be eight to ten looks from a range of new and old Australian designers, it was a great show and great cause it allows us to get a broad overview of what designers are come out with and see if there are any trends among the collections.

After the show I just walked around there were stalls set up by designers selling new and old pieces. I was able to interview some great people who will be featured on my YouTube Channel so stay tuned cause it'll be up this Thursday.

Here are some of the pictures yours truly took also including my look. (That rhymed)

Outfit details | denim jacket Levis (thrifted in Sweden) |turtle neck Target |shoes Shubar | skirt H&M (Sweden)

This outfit is very simple in terms of the clothing pieces but once put together I feel ready to walk on set of The Carrie Diaries! Its chic with an all black base and the cool washed out blue of the denim which adds a pop of colour and the white shoes which balance the outfit out. The silver jewellery is a great contrast from the black and you can never go wrong with silver.

Jewels:| earrings Camela | necklace Lovisawatch Fossil | bracelet Unknown | sunglasses Ray-Ban |

Oh but I was feeling myself in these pictures (ahaha) can y'all tell ?

Chu Suwannapha

Hey all!

This must be an odd sight, but yes this is a blog post the past two weeks have been filled with assessments and busy weekends, which is good but I have been missing my blog so much! It feels great to be back, hope y'all are well and being super productive!

Now onto the blog post

Chu Suwannapha

A South African designer, labelled and rightly so, the Prince of prints has come out with a spunky Mens Wear collection for South Africa Mens Wear Week A/W and it had eyes turning and jaw dropping, well on my end anyway. I remember the very first time I came across Suwannapha's collection I was amazed and still gaze at collection when I'm in need of inspiration. Its his use of patterns and colour and clever cut of his garments and make Chu's collection like no other.  I think I've spoken enough and will let the clothes talk for themselves.

The man main man Chu!

This is my favourite picture and the one that first made me fall in love with Chu's work! In all honesty not sure if its the models that increase the appeal of the clothes with their fierce poses or if Chu is an absolute genius, I think its a bit of both ;)
